Educating Today for a Better Tomorrow!

Library

Welcome to the Roosevelt Library!

Welcome to Roosevelt Elementary library! Our space is so beautiful with windows that look out at the foothills and Table Rock. Definitely the coziest spot in the school ;) We're all about making reading fun here. We gather for picture book read-alouds where we share fantastic stories that spark imagination. If you just want to chill with a good book, students are free to get comfortable in Reader’s Alley. The best part is book check out is available everyday, so you never have to wait to grab your next adventure! But we're not just about stories! If you need a quiet place to focus, head over to Homework Alley where you can tackle your assignments. And the area everyone loves? Our STEM section where students can check out lots of activities to make learning fun and engaging. Lastly, we love great library citizens! During Book Business days, we pick a Mystery Reader to celebrate awesome behavior, and they get to choose something fun from the prize bin! Thanks for stopping by!

Mrs. Thometz is an individual with a vibrant array of interests that balance quiet contemplation with active engagement. She has a deep love for children and is passionate about reading. When she's not immersed in a good book, she can often be found planting in the garden or exploring the outdoors while hiking. She enjoys engaging her mind by doing puzzles and cherishes time spent with her family, especially when gathered around the kitchen table enjoying great food and company.

Our Vision

Every student a reader; every learner an explorer. We envision a district where every student builds a unique reading identity and possesses the critical thinking skills to navigate a changing world with confidence and curiosity.

Our Mission

The Library Services program provides an adaptive "in-between" space where students connect classroom learning to personal passion. We foster a lifelong love of literacy and provide a safe, supportive environment for students to explore, fail, try again, and grow.

Agency: we empower students to take ownership of their learning and develop their own voice. Agility: We adapt our programs and spaces to meet the evolving needs of our schools and community.
